Sacramento Wedding Florist- Don’t toss that bridal bouquet!
I am waiting on pictures from our amazing 2010 wedding season. Um, hello? Do you hear me all my lovely photographer friends? Love you, Love your show. xoxoxox
So in the meantime, I thought we could answer a question that has been plaguing brides everywhere:
What is a toss bouquet?
A toss bouquet is a small cluster of flowers made to resemble the bridal bouquet.
Why do I need a toss bouquet?
If you are planning in taking part of the tradition of tossing the bridal bouquet to “all the single ladies” you will NEED a toss bouquet. Because:
*Your actual bridal bouquet is going to be waaaay to big and too heavy to be throwing at people. The average bridal bouquet is about 8-12 inches across and weighs 2-5LBS. So if a bridal bouquet weighing 3.8LBS was thrown at approximately 10MPH with an arc of….forget it. Just don’t throw heavy things at people.
*You might want to keep or preserve your actual bridal bouquet.
*Your actual bridal bouquet might have elements you would like to save. Special ribbon, pins, brooches and crystals can all act as lasting keepsakes.
* Some florist will “throw” in the toss bouquet for free.

Shannon you are hilarious! … And obviously a Math Wizard too – - tehehe
Haha great post. Can’t you just buy a fake bouquet to throw instead of your seasonal flower bouquet? The person who catches it will get to keep it then and you could preserve your original bouquet.
