The first fall wedding of the season!

Adrienne and Shane were married at Wine and Roses in Lodi, Ca. this past Saturday. It was the first wedding of the season using fall colors and textures. Everything turned out so beautifully!

I love how the centerpieces turned out. The room had a very upscale look.

BTW- check out Wine and Roses' new chairs! They are very chic looking. Is it weird that I am this excitied about ballroom chairs?

Last but never least, the happy couple!

Congratulations!

Fall wedding tips and decor ideas

As we head into the fall season here are a few thoughts to make your fall wedding absolutely perfect.

If you are having an evening wedding you may want to check what time the sun will set. If you want to have fabulous pictures with that magical fall sunlight you might consider scheduling the bride and groom portraits before you walk down the aisle.

Consider you guest's comfort. If it will be windy or chilly rent some portable heaters, provide a basket of pashminas for the ladies to wear and offer hot apple cider before the ceremony. These ideas are sure to ward off the cold and give your guests a warm feeling.

It is all about the textures in fall wedding flowers. Consider leaving some of the floral choices up to your designer. She or he can choose some fun, seasonal floral accents to make your fall wedding flowers truly different.

As a fun departure from the traditional rose petals have your flower girl toss fall leaves out of a rustic basket as she makes her way down the aisle.

Line your aisle in pumpkins and fall leaves.

Candles everywhere! A fall wedding would not be complete with out the glow and warmth of candles. Consider colored glass such and amber, olive green and burgundy for your table votives. Colored glass adds little extra to your decor (check http://www.cudge.net/ for amazing prices on colored glass votives).

If your fall wedding is next year take advantage of the after season sales to pick up great decor items at half the cost.

Decorating with fall fruit and vegetables can add a fun twist to your ceremony and reception. My favorites are Seckle pears, cranberries, crab apples, miniature pumpkins and gourds, pomegranates and tangerines.
