Valerie and Christopher’s wedding flowers were a total blast to design! When I met with Valerie a year before her wedding date we bounced ideas around and had so much fun dreaming up her perfect wedding look. Fast forward to two months before the wedding at our second meeting- we realized we needed more color! The stunning view at the Capitol View Room combined with the richness of the purple pin tuck linens from Mimi & Co. lead us to slightly change the color scheme and add more rich purple, ruby red, lime green and dusky lavender. The end result? Stunning!!!

One thing we did not change- Valerie’s bouquet. White with green- classic, fresh, timeless. While my designing style is usually very color rich- I enjoy the visual break of a white bridal bouquet. Valerie’s bouquet featured peonies, freesia, callas, spray roses, and hypericum, accented with Swarovski crystals.

I am never opposed to a touch of sparkle. We hung ropes of clear beads from Valerie and Christopher’s full, lush and tall centerpieces.

The low guest table centerpieces were designed in three vases. I really like this look for a couple of reasons- designing the flowers in several vases adds an unexpected look to the centerpiece and at the end of the night you can give the flowers away to more of your guests.

Chris and Elizabeth’s wedding took place at Wine and Roses in Lodi, Ca. Elizabeth was the dream bride. So very excited to be getting married and so easy to work with. Her colors were Tiffany Blue and coral. Her flowers reflected her color theme but we also threw in a soft peach and a few pops of bright orange.
Elizabeth’s bouquet featured stock, orchids, roses and Blushing Bride protea. It was so summery and soft at the same time.

Gerbera daisies are one of the Bride’s favorite flowers so we included them in the bridesmaids’ bouquets along with roses, stock hydrangea, asters, Blushing Bride protea and yes, carnations. The soft peach carnations in these bouquets were gorgeous. Such a simple flower- but when they are clustered together they make a pretty filler in bouquets.

The cake came from River City Cake Company. Great job Tanya and crew! Goes to show, adding a little smidge of color to the cake really makes a statement.

My favorite part! This surfboard was a surprise for the couple. It was designed and painted by a friend who does custom detailed race cars. How much do I love the peonies on this surf board? I think they may have inspired my upcoming tattoo!

Loved her place cards! They were so sweet.
Congratulations on your marriage you two crazy kids!
